Mohamed Jalloh

I embarked on my distance running adventure in 1998 when I joined the military, a journey that led me to my inaugural official race, the Army 10 Miler, in 2009. It was then that I truly caught the running “bug,” setting my sights on completing my first full marathon, the Marine Corps Marathon, in 2016. My marathon journey didn’t stop there; I soon achieved a milestone by finishing my first Abbott World Major Marathon, the Chicago Marathon, in 2018. After several more marathons, I am now on the cusp of completing my 6-Star journey with the esteemed Boston Marathon.

This April marks a significant milestone for me as I will be participating in my first Boston Marathon on Monday, April 15, 2024.

The thrill of running for me lies in witnessing my own development and progression. Equally exhilarating is the opportunity to inspire my two wonderful daughters by demonstrating the value of a healthy and active lifestyle.

Embrace every moment during a race and savor each stride you take.
