I started distance running the year I entered the Marine Corps, more than 50 years ago. I ran my first Boston Marathon in 2008 on a Charity Bib. I BQ’d 10 years later and have run 4 Boston Marathons since.
Running is my passion, my lifestyle, and I love competing. I wake up each morning looking forward to getting my run started whether it’s five miles or twenty.
To my fellow Black Unicorn Marathoners, regardless as to how you got here “be positive, ignore the critics, follow your heart, invest in your passions, believe in your dreams, and get busy making them a reality." - Josh Cox, U.S. 50K record holder.
